- KBS is committed to total compliance with applicable
validation / verification requirements of the COP/MOP and the CDM Executive Board,
CDM M&P, ISO 14065, ISO14064-3, and Gold Standard.
- KBS employs competent personnel for its validation
/ verification / certification process and ensures the adequacy of persons carrying
out the same. KBS has systems in place to identify the training needs, carry out
training on a continual basis and periodically monitors the performance of its personnel.
- KBS’s management maintains high level of professionalism
in its performance and implementation of the various CDM functions including contractual
arrangements, quality assurance of validation / verification process and relevant
decisions.
- KBS maintains a very high level of impartiality, independence
and transparency to make all final decisions on the validation / verification /
certification by placing systems in place, to include inputs from various stakeholders,
engage independent experts, maintain records, address appeals & complaints,
and provides safeguards against conflicts of interest.
- While KBS is committed
to transparency in its validation / verification / certification process; it is
equally committed to maintain confidentiality of the information received / generated
from clients (other than publicly accessible information) and will not divulge information
to anyone who is not employed by KBS or bound by confidentiality contracts.
- KBS ensures its clients and the CDM-EB that the management
and quality policies envisaged in detail in this manual are complied by its personnel
and other experts engaged by KBS. KBS has in place system for carrying out periodic
comprehensive internal audits and management reviews.
- Last, but not the least, KBS personnel recognize that
it is their fundamental responsibility to contribute towards sustainable development
and would work towards the same through its impartial, independent, accurate, conservative
assessments of CDM projects and other greenhouse gas emission reduction activities.
